The best numbers so far (20/7/2012)

The top 10 best yu-gi-oh! zexal numbers are:

1: Number 39: Utopia (by far the best)
Lore: 2 Level 4 monsters
When any player's monster declares an attack: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the attack. When this card is targeted for an attack, while it has no Xyz Materials: Destroy this card.

2: Number 32: Shark Drake (great card!)
Lore: 3 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn, when this attacking card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon the destroyed monster to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Attack Position, but it loses 1000 ATK, and if you do Summon this way, this card can attack once again during this Battle Phase.

3: Number 6: Chronomaly Atlando (when it is released in Return of the Duelist, i will open as many packs as i will find atlando).
Lore: 2 Level 6 monsters
When this card is Xyz Summoned: Target 1 "Number" monster in your Graveyard; equip that target to this card. This card gains ATK equal to half the ATK of the monster equipped by this effect. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card and send 1 card equipped by this effect to the Graveyard; halve your opponent's Life Points. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this effect.

4: Number 17: Leviathan Dragon (i especially liked n17)
Lore: 2 Level 3 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this card gains 500 ATK. If this card has no Xyz Material, it cannot attack your opponent directly.

5: Number 11: Big Eye (great but dangerous number)
Lore: 2 Level 7 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 monster your opponent controls; take control of that monster. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.

6: Number 20: Giga-Brilliant (crazy card!)
Lore: 2 Level 3 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; all face-up monsters you currently control gain 300 ATK.

7: Number 34: Terror-Byte (xyz helping card)
Lore: 3 Level 3 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 Level 4 or lower face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls; gain control of it until the End Phase.

8: Number 19: Freezerdon (great effect if chained with other numbers' effects)
Lore: 2 Level 5 monsters
Once per turn, if you would activate an effect by detaching Xyz Materials, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead.

9: Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Killer (up to twice per turn! i looooooooooove it!)
Lore: 2 Level 8 monsters
Up to twice per turn, during your Main Phase 1: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls; destroy that target, and if that target was an Xyz Monster, inflict damage to your opponent equal to its original ATK.

10: Number 88: Gimmick Puppet Destiny Leo (wow effect in the anime and even better when being released in valuable book 15)
Lore:  3 Level 8 monsters
Once per turn, if you control no cards in your Spell & Trap Card Zone: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, and if you do, place 1 Destiny Counter on this card. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this effect. When this card has 3 Destiny Counters on it, its controller wins the Duel.
